The big ‘L’

Good news … I’ve been awarded the qualification of LMPA and am now a fully qualified member of the Master Photographers’ Association (MPA). So I’m now officially a proper photographer! LOL

The MPA, the leading trade association in the photographic world, prides itself on the quality of its members. It was established over 50 years ago and is unique in that it only admits full-time, professional photographers to its ranks; all of whom have to adhere to strict professional guidelines and go through a rigorous assessment of their work. So yesterday was the big day and I was quite nervous to say the least. It doesn’t matter how confident you are in your work, when you’re in front of a panel of 6 of the UKs finest, your knees knock! I didn’t take much in but suffice to say I passed! And I had some really lovely feedback on my work (blushes ;0)) which was nice.

Here’s my submission. [The panel of assessors look for a thorough understanding of camera techniques, lighting, posing, direction of the subject, composition and, of course, the ability to deliver quality photography.]

Congratulations Sarah, well deserved. So proud of you and all that you do. I know i’m your mum, but you know if a fault is to be found i will find it!!, but looking at your work, which i do very regularly, i am constantly amazed at the pictures you are producing. Absolutely lovely, many of your photos create that lump in the throat and wet eyes syndrome, as if i know the people, which obviously i dont. Very well done. Keep up the good work. Love Mum.Xx
