Featured in Perfect Wedding magazine
A copy of Perfect Wedding magazine landed on my door mat this week. I wasn’t expecting it and idly thumbed through thinking it was sent promotionally. Then I get to page 130 and think, hey up, I recognise those two! I knew the magazine were going to run a real wedding feature on Ashley and Roberta’s wedding but I didn’t know it would be this issue. What a lovely surprise!
Ashley and Roberta had their wedding at one of my favourite venues – Notley Abbey. And their day was beautifully planned with soooo many gorgeous details. Now I love details, but magazines love them even more. What better way to get inspiration and ideas for your own wedding than by looking at what other couples have done. So feel free to go mad – your wedding could be featured next!

Wedding photographs at St. Edmunds church, Kettering
Colin and Ruth married at St. Edmunds church, in Warkton near Kettering, Northamptonshire.
It was a bright sunny day but so so cold and windy. We braved a few Bride & Groom photographs outside but then retreated to the warmth and beauty of the church’s chancel for some group photographs. The chancel is amazing and has four large sculptures, including two by Roubilliac. And with flowers and candles aplenty it had a lovely atmosphere.
Colin and Ruth have close connections to the church so decided to start their reception at the church with champagne and the cutting of their cake, which gave them time to enjoy being with the guests that were attending the ceremony only. After much hugging, chatting, laughter and congratulating, Colin and Ruth left the church to a flurry of confetti and a honeymoon in Paris.

Fashion photography at Holdenby House
Well wasn’t I a lucky girl getting to photograph R-Magazine’s ‘Man of the Year’?!
The shoot was at Holdenby House (also a rather lovely wedding venue!) where I had a great time creating some ‘young bachelor just arrived home at country retreat’ style images to show off the outfits that Jonathan modelled so well. I especially enjoyed working with JT the falcon, at Icarus Falconry. I was surprised how tolerant these birds are of flash photography and so had great fun creating some of my trademark moody skies.
