Edinburgh engagement photographs – Nick & Vicky

The small matter of a volcano wasn’t going to stop me getting to Edinburgh for Nick and Vicky’s pre-wedding shoot. I have to wonder why I didn’t just book the train in the first place – it was lovely to while away a few hours looking out to the countryside.

I’d been looking forward to their shoot for some time and it didn’t disappoint.

I travelled the day before the shoot so that I could recce some locations. In true Scottish style it rained and hailed! And yes, like a true Brit I was unprepared for the weather, thinking that my camera bag was heavy enough without a brolly too!

I wanted to give an authentic Edinburgh feel to the photographs rather than anything too touristy and found some great little cobbled alleyways, tartan filled shop fronts and lots of amazing architecture. And of course, no Edinburgh shoot would be complete without a photo of the castle!
