Interviewed by The Photography Parlour
The Photography Parlour is an online community for aspiring professional photographers, hosted by my very good friend Rosie Parsons.
It’s an awesome resource with lots of interviews, features and advice on everything you’d need to know about turning pro and building a business. The site is rich with interviews and features from some amazing professional photographers around the world, covering all genres from weddings to food and papparazzi. It’s also a place where those just starting out can share their experiences about their first major assignments. The first few commissions and early business decisions are incredibly tough (I remember them well!) so I think it’s a great place to share with others who are going through the same things.
I was thrilled when Rosie asked if I’d do an interview. It made think though, and that doesn’t happen very often! It’s an insight into me, my style and experiences as a pro photographer. Make some Earl Grey and read my interview.

Just enjoyed it with a cup of Darjeeling. Great article Sarah. Really good advice for anyone starting out in the wedding industry.
