Pipewell Hall weddings

Wandering around Pipewell Hall is like losing yourself in Living etc magazine.

Pipewell is a recently renovated country house / marquee wedding venue, is full of character and has been stylishly furnished and decorated to perfection. Plus it has lots of lovely natural window light; perfect for your wedding photography! It’s luxurious and spacious, but it’s not OTT, more in a spoil yourself boutique hotel kind of way, and has an intimate, welcoming feel. It is after all a family home. I arrived to the scent of home-made marmalade bubbling away on the stove and quickly made two furry friends who were keen to help get my cameras out of my bag. I just know I’m going to love working here.

I popped over a few days ago to create a library of photos of the Hall, grounds and interior for their marketing. I last visited amidst all the building work so it was great to see how everything had come together. And lovely also to use the carpet of snowdrops in some of the pictures; I don’t think I’ve ever seen quite so many in one place.

Ettington Park Hotel wedding photos – Will & Danielle

The first wedding of 2011 kicked my year off in style. Will and Danielle’s wedding was at Ettington Park, a beautiful neo-Gothic venue in Stratford on Avon. This was my third visit to Ettington and it seems to just get better every time.

It was barely above freezing all day but it was beautifully sunny. So we decided to use the grounds for the Bride and Groom photo session, partly because they’re stunning and it would have been rude not to, but largely because it was so warm inside and we all wanted to cool down! But still it was a little too cold for all the guests to be outside so decided to do the family photos in the library, which made the perfect backdrop.

The flower displays, cake and stationery were all handmade by Will and Danielle’s Mums. Impressive huh?

Oh, and I must have seen the same trick by the Magician that was entertaining the guests during dinner some five or six times. But I still don’t know how he did it! He was very very good.

Engagement photos – Aaron & Lindsay

The first pre-wedding shoot of the year. Blowing a gale. And for another wedding photographer. So no pressure at all!

This is Aaron and Lindsay. Aaron slipped into the role of ‘client being photographed’ really well. But apparently he was under strict instructions! And Lindsay was amazing in front of the camera; clearly very used to being photographed!
