Wedding photography round-up | March
I love the onset of winter, pulling on a cosy cardi and feeling all smug about working from home when the world is cold outside. But I love the start of Spring more. It’s only when the tulips open up and we get those first few warm sunny days that I realise how much I’ve missed daylight. So March has been a very welcome month.
Two long awaited weddings took place. Long awaited because I’d really been looking forward to them. And they didn’t disappoint. Robert & Sarah’s wedding at Holdenby House stood out for being such a relaxed day in beautiful surroundings (if you missed the blog posts they are here and here). And Min & Jay’s wedding at Kelmarsh Hall was truly special for all the stunning colour (blog post coming next week). The Indian food was pretty good too!
I had much fun on a training workshop with Damien Lovegrove. The Lovegrove workshops are amazing; I always come away so inspired and raring to go. I had a creative day at Stowe Gardens since the course to try out my new found skills with the gorgeous Alice Murray and some rather fabulous gowns from Fairytale Weddings and The Wedding Club. More on that soon.
Kelmarsh Hall and Stapleford Park‘s wedding shows were just brilliant. So well organised and a really enjoyable experience. My team and I had lots of great conversations with lots of lovely couples. It sounds as though there are some amazing weddings in the making and I’m really looking forward to working with those who’ve since booked.
I’m unashamedly excited about the Royal Wedding on 29th April. Eeeek! I will be photographing Aaron & Lindsay‘s wedding that day so won’t get to see it live but rest assured I will be drinking tea from my union jack mug (maybe something stronger, yes, still in the mug) and catching up when I get home. Will she wear McQueen do you think? I hope so.
On the work front I have a flurry of pre-wedding shoots ahead. And the wedding of Mike & Estelle as well Aaron & Lindsay’s. I’ve also got to get cracking on that website development that I haven’t started yet (oopsie) and design some new sample albums too. It’s going to be busy. But fun all the way.
