Album eye candy – baby Tom

Here’s a finished client album to have a nose at.

It’s an 8×8″ Finao black leather album – these are fab albums and perfect for portrait shoots. This particular album uses a very minimalistic one photo per page, on a white background with a black keyline. You see a narrow black border (the base page) around the edges which pulls everything together really nicely. It works especially well for my penchance for black and white baby photography.

Queensberry wedding album flies the nest

Kevin and Debbie chose a 14×10″ Queensberry album in sandstone contemporary leather to show off the photographs from their silver wedding vow renewal at Ettington Park.

They went for the flushmount style pages, which have a protective coating to prevent them from dust and finger-marking. I love this style and although I stick to my clean simple design ethos which allows the images to speak for themselves, I do like to add little flourishes with ‘chapter’ pages and text. It was a lovely thick album with around 130 images, which gave them a strong mix of portraits, candids and details to tell the story of their day.

These albums come in a gorgeous velvet pouch but Kevin and Debbie also decided to have a carry case to make transporting and caring for their album easier.

Another stunning album goes out the door

So I bid a sad farewell to another gorgeous Queensberry photo album. This is Alex and Fiona’s. You may remember their wedding at Broomhill Hotel, Northampton back in May.

They chose the 14×10″ flush-mount album. The contemporary feel of a flush-mount album, coupled with timeless graphic design and Queensberry’s luxuriously thick pages, makes this style the most popular choice for my clients. They’re fabulous and definitely something to behold.

As vegetarians they decided on the lookie-likey vegan leather cover in ‘lipstick’. It’s a really yummy raspberry shade which contrasted beautifully with their purple colour scheme. And it feels lovely, so soft to touch (yet unbelievably hard-wearing).

Snowy white wedding, white album

James and Elena had the perfect white wedding at Rushton Hall, complete with fairytale snow. Only a white leather Queensberry photo album would befit such a day. James and Elena opted for a 14×10″ album, with matted pages, in white of course, with white protective edges and corners.
