Your wedding
There are pictures everywhere at a wedding. And I like to tell the story of the entire day, so I’m there from the very beginning while you’re getting ready right through to your evening celebrations.
Getting ready
Starting wherever you’re getting ready, I’ll capture all the nerves and excitement before the ceremony. If you book a package with two photographers this can include both Bride & Groom.
The ceremony
Before the ceremony I’ll get some photographs of the Groom and Groomsmen. And of course the Bride arriving. I’ll discreetly take whatever shots are allowed during the ceremony. Then afterwards it’s spontaneous piccies of your guests congratulating you and throwing confetti.
The reception
I’d recommend leaving two hours between arriving at your venue and going in to eat or receive your guests. This will be enough time to get all the photographs you’d like and give you plenty of time to mingle with your guests.
Once you’ve had a quick drink (you’ll probably be parched by now!) we’ll wander off for your private Bride & Groom shoot. This is when I’ll take some of the gorgeous couple photos that I’m known for and it’s a great chance for the two of you to spend some time with each other.
Then, with the help of your Ushers, we’ll set up group photos. It’s best to keep these to a minimum as they take time to do well and you risk your guests getting bored. Half a dozen usually covers it. Then I move on to get some relaxed pictures of your guests enjoying themselves.
After dinner
From here on everything will be captured just as it happens: speeches, cake-cutting and your first dance. If you’re having fireworks I can stay and photograph that too.
