Richard and Henrietta’s marquee wedding at Mears Ashby

September 28, 2010

Usually I don’t bother following the weather forecasts. You’re gonna get what you’re gonna get. But I have to admit to hoping that it would at least be dry for Rich and Hen’s wedding as they’d chosen to have a marquee reception and really wanted to have a garden party feel to their day. The forecast wasn’t good but come the day, we were blessed. The sun shone big time!

Hen got ready at her Mum’s house with her sisters, nieces and nephews and bridesmaids.

The ceremony was held at Mears Ashby church which is beautiful inside with lovely architecture.

After the ceremony we headed to Hen’s family home just 5 minutes away where the reception was held in the garden. Everyone seemed to have a really great time enjoying champagne and canapes in the sunshine. A wedding at home always makes for a relaxed atmosphere. Lots of personal touches added to this as well including Hen’s homemade wedding cake and the horse racing table plan, a passion of Rich’s.

Lovely words from Richard & Henrietta

It seems to have been a year for hearing horror stories about wedding photographers in Northampton. Richard & Henrietta are one of several couples who came to me after cancelling their booking with another wedding photographer because they weren’t happy. Which makes it doubly special to have received these lovely words from them…

“Sarah did a fabulous job with the photography for our wedding. She is so knowledgable and very professional and from the pre-wedding shoot through to our wedding day, she was simply excellent! We were thrilled with our photos; she had captured every bit of detail from our special day! We have just received our finished Queensberry album and are absolutely delighted – this is something we will treasure for years! We would like to say a huge thank you for everything & for anyone looking to book a photographer: book Sarah!”
