Dodmoor House wedding photography

For an experience that’s all about you, there really isn’t a better place than Dodmoor House

I adore Dodmoor House for many reasons, but the one I always come back to is their incredible team. I’ve admired them ever since I noticed one of their planners painstakingly sweeping the courtyard of rain and carefully drying off the outdoor furniture in preparation for an outdoor wedding. I’ve never seen any other venue do that – you stand up or get wet, usually!

But at Dodmoor House, they pay attention to the little details that ensure your wedding day truly is special.

Working with such a brilliant team makes my life so much easier, because when things are run well, I can focus on actually taking photos - rather than trying to work out what’s happening and chivvying things along!

Five reasons you’ll love Dodmoor House for your wedding photography

  • 1 Dodmoor’s rustic, country style adds a really relaxed feel to your photos.
  • 2 The apple tree-lined driveway is spot on for strolling hand-in-hand ... and photos to match!
  • 3 The canal will make your photos feel like you’ve been transported to Venice for the day - if you squint, and bring your own gelato!
  • 4 The courtyard and gardens are spacious enough for all your guests - with handy steps for that 'everyone' photo - but compact enough that you don’t lose people when you need them for group photos!
  • 5 The Catesby barn mezzanine provides a brilliant vantage point for photos of your speeches and first dance - and is a great spot to throw your bouquet from!

My experience at Dodmoor House

Please bear with me while I take my shoes and socks off ‘cause I need extra digits to count the number of weddings I’ve shot at Dodmoor House! (To be honest, I may have to borrow your hands and feet too.)

I’ve worked at Dodmoor in all seasons and in all weathers; and have photographed weddings of all shapes and sizes. Indoor civil ceremonies, outdoor civil ceremonies, micro weddings, maxi weddings, receptions in the courtyard, receptions on the lawn ...

And I’ve had more than my fair share of wet weddings at Dodmoor House and am officially a professional sheltered nook finder!

Here are some of my favourite photos I've captured at this beautiful barn venue ...

Like the look of these? But want to see more than just the highlights? I've got you, oh wise one. Take your pick from these blog posts ...

True love stories

Anna & Colin

A florist's flower-filled micro wedding

Anna & Colin had an intimate civil ceremony, a relaxed drinks reception with comfy seating on the lawn, and a banquet-style dinner in the Catesby barn. You'll spot lots of fresh green, classic white, and pretty pale blue styling. And you won't want to miss the oak barrel cake display!

Candice & Glyn

A hopelessly romantic civil ceremony

Candice and Glyn's ceremony was so full of love it deserves a blog post all of its own! Spot two proud mums as witnesses; the look of love on everyone's faces; hands held so tightly they might never let go; kisses for grandparents as they walk down the aisle...

Michelle & Gavin

Modern marriage and old-fashioned love

This pair mixed things up and quite literally got married in the middle of the room surrounded by their guests. And the rain? That was outdone by Team Dodmoor's expert rain-sweeping skills, M&G's outpouring of love - and a surprise honeymoon reveal during the speeches!

Charlotte & Stuart

A summer day of love, laughs, and lavender

Charlotte and Stuart's playful personalities shone through during their church ceremony. I've never seen a ring so stuck - nor so much jubilation at putting a ring on! Which set a relaxed tone for their music-filled drinks reception and Formula1-inspired dinner.
