Boughton House Post-Wedding Shoot – Clive & Julie
What better way to celebrate Valentine’s Day
…than putting your wedding outfits back on and feeling like a Bride & Groom again!
Clive and Julie got married at Boughton House in Northamptonshire. I didn’t photograph their wedding but they got in touch afterwards because they were keen to get some photos that weren’t possible on their wedding day; ones that showed off Julie’s dress in all its glory with her train beautifully laid-out and that also made the most of their venue and were recognisably ‘Boughton’.
It takes a bit of time just to get around such an expansive venue so we spent a couple of hours on the shoot. That gave us time to make use of several locations around the house and grounds. It also meant there was plenty of time for attention to detail with dress tszujing, and with such a stunning Ian Stuart gown it was a real treat.
Some kind words from Julie
“When looking for a photographer for a post-wedding shoot, we wanted to find someone who was friendly, relaxed and would put us at our ease (especially as Clive wasn’t overly keen on the idea!). I remembered that our wedding venue had recommended Sarah as their preferred supplier and as soon as I looked at her website, I could immediately see the quality of her work and her attention to detail and from her first email, I felt as if I already knew her – her kind nature came across straight away.
“By coincidence, the date that suited everyone best was Valentine’s Day and although it was freezing cold, it was such a fun, romantic and memorable way to spend it! Sarah was the perfect mix of professional and friendly, with no detail overlooked and every shot carefully considered. It was obvious that Sarah was no stranger to working with the time restraints and spontaneity of weddings and also photo shoots too and was patient and incredibly organised.
“After the shoot, I was very impressed with how quickly the photos were ready and overwhelmed when I first saw them, they were everything I had hoped for and more. We received a link to download the files in three different formats (which made it very quick and simple to order prints and share the pictures with friends online). A few days later we also received [a parcel in the post], which was a wonderful surprise.
“I cannot recommend Sarah’s work and customer service enough. She is one of the most talented and considerate people I have ever met and exactly the sort of person you would want to be present at your wedding or photo shoot. We now have over a hundred pictures which are all so lovely, it is difficult to choose our favourites – Thank you Sarah!”
