Dale & Natalia’s engagement photos at Castle Ashby Gardens

May 27, 2015

As much as I love documentary wedding photography, I think it’s important to have some beautiful portraits of the two of you on your wedding day as well. The amount of time we spend on them is entirely up to you and will depend on what you want to get out of your photos and your wedding. Anything from 10 minutes to half an hour is typical for most of my clients.

However long it is, a pre-wedding shoot is invaluable. One big reason for this is speed. On a pre-wedding shoot we’ll try out lots of poses and create a variety of different looks – traditional, fashion, editorial, romantic… Sometimes it’s not until you see yourself in photos that you know what you might prefer and I find lots of clients surprise themselves with their preferences once they’ve seen their engagement photos. We’ll do the shoot in plenty of time for you to give me some feedback on what you like best and then on your wedding day I can get straight on with what I know you’re going to like, rather than spend precious time creating all that variety again.

Dale & Natalia are a beautiful couple, inside and out, and are lots of fun to be with. They have a fabulous wedding in the making which I can’t wait to photograph. Here are some of my favourites from their pre-wedding shoot which we did at Castle Ashby Gardens.
