Beth’s ‘Italian Gardens’ post-wedding shoot

Doesn’t Beth look right at home in her dress at Castle Ashby?!

Beth’s dress is Pronovias. And the classic, elegant feel with just a touch of sparkle is so her. And the simplicity was so striking against the stately backgrounds.

Beth had an ‘elegant rustic’ wedding at Shustoke Farm Barns in Warwickshire so we decided to go for the garden of a classic country house to give a completely different feel to her post-wedding photos. Leanne Eldridge created a gorgeous soft up-do for Beth, similar to her wedding hair but with a twist. And the brilliant Jo Tromans added a fashion feel with perfectly winged eyeliner, long lashes, and a bright red lip. I love how the look contrasts with the greens in the gardens as well as complements the red geraniums in the Orangery and the warm tones in the stonework.

And in Beth’s words…

“It is very rare to have an excuse to put on your wedding dress after your wedding. Your wedding dress is so special and it is sad to pack it away in a box. I thought a post-wedding shoot was a great opportunity to re-live the way I felt in my dress and really take advantage of showing it off again. What girl doesn’t want to get all dolled up and feel how they did on their big day? I would do it over and over again if I could.

“After having Sarah shoot our wedding and do such a tremendous job, I had absolutely no worries or concerns about an ‘after’ shoot. I thoroughly enjoyed the whole day from start to finish, but my most favourite part of the experience was how special I felt once again (I thought I would only feel that way on my wedding day). The photos were just incredible, but when it’s Sarah shooting, I expect nothing less than perfection. It was lovely to see my husband’s face when he saw them, just how he looked when he saw me on the big day. That’s a lovely feeling.

“After having Sarah shoot our wedding and do such a tremendous job, I had absolutely no worries or concerns about an ‘after’ shoot. In all honesty, I wasn’t sure what to expect from this shoot, one thing I do know is that I was not disappointed in the slightest. The day from start to finish was so exciting and so much fun. I was whisked into hair and makeup with the two loveliest professionals, we then travelled to the most perfect, stunning location and we then had an absolute ball shooting the rest of the day.

“I thoroughly enjoyed the whole day from start to finish, but I would have to say my most favourite part of the experience was how special I felt once again (I thought I would only feel that way on my wedding day). “You absolutely have to do this shoot! Why wouldn’t you? Do not put your dress in a box and leave it for the cobwebs. Pamper yourself and feel like a Princess for one more day, you will not regret it.”
