James & Rachel’s wedding photography review

Our biggest worry in finding a photographer was to make sure that it was someone who had the right balance between formal photos and catching moments, but also ensuring that the whole album wasn’t all ‘edgy and arty’ pictures so much so that they belonged in a gallery rather than on a mantelpiece! But Sarah listened to what we were after and balanced all of this perfectly. We had a stunning mix of style of photos, which makes our wedding album so beautifully varied.

We loved the style of the pictures that Sarah had done previously and we were swayed by the stellar reviews that she received from previous clients. She knew Rushton Hall inside out and had even snapped a wedding in the small village church that we got married in (there aren’t many weddings in this church so this was quite unusual!). On meeting Sarah, we knew that she understood our vision and we had every confidence in the pictures that she would take.

One of our favourite parts of the photography experience was when our portraits were taken.

This allowed us to have 20 peaceful minutes to ourselves where we able to catch our breath, enjoy the photos being taken and take in the beautiful surroundings that we were lucky enough to get married in.

We would absolutely recommend Sarah (and I have mentioned her to my best friends that are getting married!). She is a genuine pleasure to work with and a pleasure to have around on the wedding day. She struck the balance perfectly between listening to our vision for the pictures, but also suggesting what she felt would work best and guiding us in the right direction. We have so many amazing photos that narrowing them down for an album will be impossible!

I could not think of one thing she could have done better.

Sarah was exceptional at communicating with us in advance of the event. During the wedding planning we would often ask each other “Is there anything we need from Sarah?”, to which the answer was always “No, she’s on top of everything and has already emailed us all the information we need!”. When you have so many different plates spinning, that was just invaluable. She was a pleasure to have at our wedding, and she turned our pictures around before we even got back from honeymoon!

The only other thing I want to add is to say a huge thank you for all of your time and effort from the day that we first sat in the coach house. You thought of everything including extra details that we never anticipated and you have been a total pleasure to work with. Thank you for ensuring that the memories of our perfect day will never be forgotten.
