Stowe House – Buckinghamshire wedding venue

February 25, 2016

Seeing and working at different wedding venues around the UK, where we have to think differently every time, helps to keep our work fresh and unique for each couple. So even though we like weddings close to home at our regular venues in Northamptonshire, we enjoy a road trip just as much!

It’s about much more than the location of course; it’s the people, moments and emotions that we love photographing and filming the most. But we’ll go wherever your wedding is and we have a long bucket list of places we’re bursting to work at!

Stowe House is high up on our list of magical UK wedding venues. It’s actually quite close to home, about half an hour away. We’ve done pre-wedding engagement photos and bridal fashion shoots in the grounds there (Stowe Gardens) but so far a wedding at Stowe House has eluded us.

We exhibited at the Grande Events wedding show at Stowe in January and I took a few photos of the event and the venue while we were there. Couldn’t resist!

There are a few rooms but the two main ones are the Marble Saloon, which is all about *that* ceiling and the Music Room, which has intricately hand-painted walls and is finished lavishly with gold leaf.

Stowe House would work brilliantly for your wedding photography.

Wherever you are the backdrop is beautiful so you can be sure that all your natural photos will have great backgrounds and be an opportunity to allow the venue into your photos, when so often there are things that need to be hidden, disguised or avoided.

For your ‘formal’ photos, the portico steps would be perfect for a group photo with all your guests. There are lots of great spots for portraits of the two of you; around the house itself and if you’ve got a bit more time you could use the romantic temples and follies in Stowe Gardens. If it’s wet, being inside would be just as wonderful as being outside; there’s plenty of space for all your groups and portraits as well as your drinks reception.

Just putting it out there. it might happen, right?
