Deene Park pre-wedding shoots
How to make the most of your venue (and your photographer!) with a pre-wedding shoot at Deene Park
Getting married at Deene Park? Good news: We can do your pre-wedding shoot there too! You can enjoy exploring your venue, while I capture some gorgeous photos. It’s such a great way to get comfortable in front of the camera ready for your wedding day. More photos at Deene – what could be better?!
So, you’ve booked Deene Park as your venue for your big I DO! Congrats! You’ll have lots of planning and excitement ahead of you, and I hope you enjoy every second of it! How about we get started early with a pre-wedding shoot?
Booking a portrait photoshoot before your wedding is great for two reasons:
- You get to fully explore the gardens and grounds
- You’ll start to feel more relaxed in front of the camera.
It’s easy (I promise!) … We’ll go for a wander in the grounds and I’ll take some lovely pics along the way.
And just so you know, this is something only couples getting married at Deene Park can do. So it’s extra special and unique. It’d be rude not to!
Exclusive access to the venue
The team at Deene Park weddings will happily arrange exclusive access for us for your pre-wedding shoot. And that includes the owners’ private courtyard. That means we can get some classic portrait shots under the beautiful arches of the courtyard. Then we’ll explore the rest of the gardens and grounds for some more relaxed photos. And we can go to places we might not have time to get to on your wedding day. We’ll really make the most of it and you’ll get to see just how much choice Deene Park provides for your photos.
Whatever the season (or weather!)
You might want to use your pre-wedding shoot to mark ‘One year to go’, and see what you can expect the gardens and surrounding countryside to look like in your wedding photos at Deene Park. Equally, it can be just as fun to book your pre-wedding shoot at a different time of year to your wedding, and make the most of the changing colours and views throughout the seasons.
Important: Don’t worry about the weather! I know some sheltered spots we can use including doorways, beneath arches, or under trees to hide from the rain. Plus, the lovely Deene Park team thinks of everything, and if it rains, they’ll provide you with clear umbrellas – as modelled by Steph and Lee in these photos…
What the venue team says …
Georgina at Deene Park says: “We love seeing our couples enjoying the venue before their wedding. It’s so nice to share in their excitement. And I always recommend that our couples have a pre-wedding shoot. It gives you the opportunity to get to know your photographer and for them to learn how you are as a couple. It’ll lead to more relaxed & natural shots on the big day. Plus you get to explore the beautiful areas of the Estate that would be a little out of reach in your wedding shoes. (Come and try to find our hidden waterfall!!!).”
Georgina can help you book your pre-wedding shoot on a day when the venue is closed to the public. That way you’ll have the place pretty much to yourself and won’t have to worry about anyone photo-bombing your pictures! It’s a real treat to have this opportunity.
How to prepare for your pre-wedding shoot at Deene Park
Have a look at some of my other pre-wedding shoots for outfit ideas courtesy of my previous couples. It’s important you feel confident and comfortable. I’ll help you relax in front of the camera – so all you have to do is wear something that makes you feel good and show up!
I recommend bringing some flat shoes, as we can do quite a lot of walking around the gardens. We’ll encounter some uneven terrain and maybe a bit of goose poo! If you want, bring your heels and we can start off with some more glamorous shots in the courtyard and formal gardens, and then change into ‘comfy country chic’ to explore the rest of the estate.
Just like Lucy did for her photo shoot with Richard…
