Outdoor wedding venue in Northants
In search of the ultimate outdoor wedding venue in Northamptonshire?
Grab your pen and put The Walled Garden at Deene Park (near Corby, Northants) at the very top of your list!
The walled garden was originally built as a kitchen garden for the house. But it now conceals stunning striped lawns, a semi-permanent wedding marquee and ‘The Garden Pavillion’. I say ‘conceals’ because it’s in a stunning secluded spot.
It’s tucked away to the side of the main house and runs alongside the flower borders, just beyond The White Garden. (Yes, there are many gardens at Deene Park!) All you can see of the walled garden as you walk past is the historic red brick wall – apart from a tiny treat of a peek through a cute Chinese gate. So it’s luxuriously private, but close to all the iconic Deene locations – like the bridge, lake, and rose garden – for pictures of the two of you.
But you really want to know about the Garden Pavillion, right?
Licensed to knock ’em dead civil ceremony venue
Well, this beauty has a license for outdoor civil wedding ceremonies and is available between April and September.
It was purpose-built with outdoor wedding ceremonies in mind, but looks right at home in its historic and natural setting. So well designed. And it’s flanked by a pair of ‘wedding cake trees’ flank either side – so called because the branches grow in horizontal tiers. Sweet!
Every dilemma taken care of
I adore how neutral the pavilion is. And I love the texture of the panelled backdrop, stately columns and romantic balustrades. These fab features make the pavilion stunning in its own right. So when it comes to wedding styling and decor, you could leave it just as it is …
… Or then again, you could really go OTT! I can imagine it English country garden style, with whimsical wildflowers growing over the roof, tumbling down the sides and looking like they just happened to grow there. Or you could transport yourself to The Med with lemons, olive trees and terracotta pots of agapanthus. The potential is limitless.
Every detail is under control. There are even hooks in place to fix flowers and hang drapes. What else would you expect from Deene Park?!
… A covered option in case of rain, of course! It’s all taken care of so no need to worry about the weather.
Is this or is this not the best outdoor wedding venue in Northamptonshire?!
