James & Rachel’s farm engagement shoot

My first pre-wedding shoot of the year … and what a wet one it was too!

The rain didn’t dampen James and Rachel’s spirits though. They were too focused on each other to even notice! And I find it much easier to work with free hands so we all just ended up carrying our umbrellas! Luckily, the farm has lots of cosy barns and walkways to shelter from the wind and rain.

It had been a while since I first met James and Rachel so it was fun to catch up on their wedding news and spend a bit of time getting to know them a little ahead of their big day at Rushton Hall in the spring. I’m so excited for their wedding to come around! It sounds as though they’ve got a brilliant day in the making. Plus, they’re just the loveliest couple and I can’t wait to see them get married. If their friends and families have hearts half as warm as theirs, it’ll be an incredible day to be part of.

James and Rachel were pretty much posing like pros by the end of their shoot and needed very little direction from me. So I think their wedding day portraits will be a breeze and much faster for the experience. Which means more fun for them!

Here are some my faves …
