Client review | Tom & Jo

Tom & Jo were really sweet and wrote the loveliest, most helpful, review. Thank you sooo much you two!

“Although weddings are a lot of money, generally there are a number of big ticket items and photography is one of them. Both Tom and I are not huge fans of having our picture taken and were nervous about choosing a photographer, handing over the money before the day itself and not loving the end result. Unless you have a family or close friend recommendation it is a minefield of options when you google wedding photography within your county. You can go to wedding fayres to pick up ideas and speak to photographers but until you have a one-to-one meeting it’s difficult to gauge whether you truly get on and whether they have picked up on the imagine you have created in your mind. Our worry was completely blown out of the water by Sarah – she oozes passion, creativity, calmness and professionalism. The pre-wedding photo shoot helped put both of us at ease, allowed us to evaluate which poses we liked and others we would prefer not to have on the day but to be honest on your wedding day you’ll be happy to go along with anything Sarah asks because you know the outcome will be fantastic.

We had actually chosen a different photographer for our wedding and were unhappy with his approach to our wedding photography and forfeited the deposit to find someone who would be more compatible. I had created a pinterest board of images I liked and all the ones I had pinned from Woburn were taken by Sarah. When we went on her website and watched the short video of a typical wedding day it was obvious very soon that her approach and creativity was exactly what we had been looking for all along. We had a meeting to discuss our wedding with Sarah and both left knowing that she would be our photographer. She had great ideas for photos with the younger members of our wedding party, she took on board our preference for a more modern approach to group photos and elaborated on it. You most certainly get what you pay for and in the case of Sarah Vivienne we thoroughly enjoyed the wedding day and have many treasured memories in our photos.

Tom said his favourite part of the whole experience was the way that Sarah made us both feel so relaxed during the pre-wedding shoot and on the wedding day itself. For me I do think it was seeing our photos for the first time. Any nervousness we had completely melted away and we both got to see elements of the day we hadn’t directly experienced. Sarah’s editing and eye for a shot is second to none. Her attention to detail spot on.

If you want spectacular photos, photos that make you reflect back on the day, memories that make you realise everything felt so calm and natural on the day then I would say go with Sarah. If you want photos that are classic and elegant, full of love and with a personable modern approach then you need Sarah as your photographer. Without a shadow of a doubt I would recommend Sarah, it may seem like a lot of money but it is truly the best money we have ever spent.

There’s only one thing we would have done differently. Listen to Sarah and scale down your group photo list. We wanted to make sure we had a photo with everyone in our album but to be honest it was probably the most hectic part of the day to fit them all in and I commend Sarah for getting the job done and to the standard in which she did. I would also say as a bride make sure you give yourself more time than you think to get ready. I ended up running out of time to have group shots with my family before Sarah had to head off for the venue. I would also say…SMILE when you are getting ready, who cares if the makeup artist has to stop putting on your lipstick!”
